Antique Hand Carved Black Virgin Icon

This is an antique, hand-carved black virgin icon. I bought it from a brocante (antique) dealer.  It’s wonderfully detailed and stands 14.5 inches tall. Her face is very expressive and has the classic iconographical details of a black virgin such as freely flowing hair under her crown, the great robe, she stands on the barque of Isis, and of course is black.
